Almost 90, this retired ballerina was so incognito I momentarily mistook her for a modern celeb.  Her bowler hat and stage makeup blew my mind.  This beautiful woman was no doubt famous in her prime.

I met Marjorie while waiting at the bus stop.  Her blues and browns caught my eye.  She explained that in addition to being fashionable, her leather gloves were a practical barrier from bus germs and they give good grip on railings.  I love outfits that are stylish and practical.

I love this woman’s curls. She takes the common older woman’s perm and lets it go long.  It shaves off at least a few decades. I was shocked to find out her age.  Her leather jacket and tortoiseshell sunglasses are also age defying.

I imagine there has never been a time in this woman’s life when she hasn’t been a fashionista; however, she told me repeatedly that her clothes were old and no one would want to see them. I disagree. Just look at this hip ensemble. It’s bold and classy. The vintage leather coat is wonderfully accessorized with the perfectly tilted fedora. And the vibrant colors of the scarf poking out at her neckline add just the right amount of color.
