Even as I hurried across the street, head down to avoid the rain, this bright white jacket and zebra print bag found their way into the corner of my eye. I doubled back and met Katherine, who is 87 years old and is still turning heads.

After speaking with this colourful gal, I quickly realized that her bold style choices matched her personality perfectly – she’s energetic and full of life.
Asking what her style inspiration was, she explained that she followed ‘What Not to Wear‘ for about five seasons and that she learned the importance of including “one piece that pops”. Well it worked because the first thing I noticed was her bright green bag. Such superb and fun style!
This woman has collected over thirty purses! She explained that it is actually quite practical to have an abundance of purses because they don’t wear out from overuse and therefore you don’t need to replace them so often. I like her logic! Originally from France, this woman has tailoring in her blood. She designed her own clothing as a child and later made one-of-a-kind pieces for clients. Her hair, however, is what stops people on the street. Luscious!!

Originally from Montreal, but now living in Vancouver, this lady hasn’t lost her flair for French fashion. From head to toe, starting with her black beret, fashionable fur coat (I know – controversial), designer handbag and finishing off with simple black flats – this lady’s got it goin’ on.
We usually don’t shoot couples, but I couldn’t resist this delightful pair. I love the combination of reds and pinks that this woman is wearing. Notice the way her boots, headband and pink collar all tie together. What I also loved about this woman is that she referred to her companion as her “prince.” And what a handsome prince he is!
