Purple, Red and Purse Dogs

I think there are two notable qualities to this woman’s style a) she mixes purple and red, always fabulous and b) her purse dog is the perfect accessory to this outfit. A match made in heaven. Amen.

I met this woman at the mall, a great place to spot hot senior fashion. She told me she collects antique jewelry. She believes jewelry retains the energy of its previous owner and warned me to be wary of my purchases.
In other matters, this is an opportunity to bring up the topic of fur.
I’m not a fan of fur. I don’t think that it has a place in the fashion world today, what with the diversity of fiber options we have available to us. That is not to say that it doesn’t look fabulous, because it does. I also believe, that for an older generation it remains relevant; it represents a time and place where fur was once guilt free glamour. In conclusion, I am sitting on the fence.
Further discussion is much welcome.

This fellow gives us a whole new angle on the western-turban. It’s that classic Hollywood spiced up with the Indian color pallet. Could he also be channeling Elton John? Well anything is possible on Davie Street.

The turban has been worn by many cultures throughout history. Prada’s 2007 silk turban collection reminded us that the turban has its place in western fashion as well.
Prada, however, wasn’t looking to the Far East for inspiration. It was looking to the early 20th century. Turbans were worn by the upper class, Hollywood starlets and any New York girl looking to get some attention during the 1920’s-30’s.
