Often I look at this type of fashion on young hipsters and I wonder ‘would that still look good on an older person? or is being young what makes the outfit work?’ Often in hipster fashion being young is what makes an outfit tolerable, but in the case of this silk polka dot collared dress, it’s sexy at any age. This is the type of clothing I want to be stocking my closet with not the stuff I’ll look back at and say ‘What was I thinking!’

Every now and then I’m inappropriately enamored with the people I meet through this project. This one charmed me silly! There’s nothing high fashion about his clothing but I love the old smudgy tattoos, casual tee and straw hat. He looks comfy, relaxed and super approachable. Originally from England, he’s lived in English Bay with his wife for 40 years.

I hurried after this woman as she left the Bay, keeping her red shoelaces and hip sneakers in my sightline. Although you can’t quite see the detail here, her Keds are playfully decorated with cartoon drawings. She told me that she walks a lot and so practical shoes are a must. I agree!
