I just fell in love with this woman’s look – I sort of picture myself looking like this at her age….one can only hope! Her choice of crimson for lipstick and nails as well as her stunningly beautiful jewelry (of which I wish I had better close ups) made her stand out from the crowds on Davie Street. One word – striking!
After speaking with this colourful gal, I quickly realized that her bold style choices matched her personality perfectly – she’s energetic and full of life.
Asking what her style inspiration was, she explained that she followed ‘What Not to Wear‘ for about five seasons and that she learned the importance of including “one piece that pops”. Well it worked because the first thing I noticed was her bright green bag. Such superb and fun style!
Although we don’t typically do pairs, I couldn’t pass up on this dynamic duo. Her bold prints next to his muted tones made for the perfect balance. Bill and Vonnie worked in the film industry for several years and were no strangers to the camera – they were more than happy to pose for me. These two were full of energy which they attribute to their jive dancing classes – it seems to be working for them….they look great!
This woman knew “casual chic” long before Katie Holmes (see below). Her high waisted pants and matching flats, patterned blouse and cardi pull together nicely to create a look that stars are now wearing.
I absolutely love this caramel, houndstooth ensemble, not to mention the matching glasses. Anna bought this Escada “short suit” years ago while in Europe. She explained that she feels “it’s a timeless piece that has kept in fashion throughout the years.” I’d have to agree with her…..she looks fantastic!
While enjoying a sunny day on the seawall, I took notice of this woman because of her black knee high socks. This has always been one of my favourite looks but I never feel like I can pull it off. She has most certainly put a good look together – not only the socks but the trench, scarf, glasses and hat create a perfect ensemble for a Sunday afternoon seawall stroll.
While in the midst of a large group at a rally, this woman stood out from the crowd with her bold fashion statement. After speaking with Diana, I learned that she began to pick and choose her clothing at the early age of three – her mother told her she was very particular about the clothing she wore. She loves bold colors and enjoys mixing and matching accessories and jewelry.
It was lovely meeting Phyllis on a sunny, Saturday afternoon – such grace, poise and impeccable style. Asking what inspired her style, she told me that she and her husband were from New York and had worked at Tiffany and Co. for over 25 years. Although she loves New York, she is now enjoying her 90′s on the West Coast.
On a recent trip to Florida, I met Nancy while out on a little shopping trip to Target. I loved her bold mix of colors and matching accessories (from her earrings all the way down to her sandals), but most of all I love her fabulous “do”!
