This is a photo of a volunteer at Carnegie Community Centre named Marilyn. She always rocks a top bun, a smart jacket, classic but subtly matching colours and a pair of oh so stylish rose coloured glasses. A sort of Katherine Hepburn with a sunny outlook.

I was on the SkyTrain about a week ago and found a marvelously dressed woman with a sparkling brooch on her red blazer, sporting stylish pumps that had a woman in her twenties sitting beside her staring at them with obvious envy. Ruffling through my bag for a camera, I explained GranPaparazzi to the woman and asked if I could take a photo. The young woman commented, “Yeah, I was wondering where she got that great outfit!” The woman, in a thick East European accent, said, “Why not? I have nothing to hide,” and graciously posed for a photo for a few seconds, even though she had to dash to get off at her stop.

This guy just blows my mind! He had no qualms about posing for the camera, throwing a little sass my way. He was one of the models for the Lester’s Army version of GranPaparazzi, where youth critique senior fashion, and seniors critique youth fashion. To see more pictures of this fab dude, check out Issue 4 of Lester’s Army, launching Friday, March 18, 2011 in Vancouver.

This lovely lass hails from the UK and has style that stops traffic! She told me she’s done some modeling in her day and it shows. I love her peep-toed red heels (especially commendable in winter) and a Chanel shopping bag looks appealing on any gal’s arm.
