She walks into a building and I follow her inside to discover my new favorite store: Button Button, a store dedicated entirely to buttons of all shapes and sizes. The woman in the custom made pant suit is the owner, Colleen Miller and her patrons are equally stylish. A fabulous find!
This man’s name is Floyd and he’s a cowboy through and through. He used to ride in the Calgary Stampede and told me a story about getting a bull horn through the chest, piercing all the way to his spine, just missing it. His cigar smoke stained beard and worn suede jacket tell his story.
Here’s clear evidence that West Coast skate style was inspired by classic utilitarian work wear.
